Preventative Maintenance

Preventative Maintenance for Year-Round Comfort

Your heating and air system works hard to keep your family comfortable. Let our family help you take care of it. Hannah’s Heating & Air offers a preventative maintenance plan that makes regular service simple and easier to fit into your household budget.

You’ll receive two comprehensive maintenance visits each year, with most customers scheduled in the spring and fall. And with your annual maintenance cost divided into 12 monthly installments, you can plan ahead for the care your system needs.

A Little Care Before the Seasons Change

Here in Inman and Boiling Springs, we count on our heating and air through hot summer afternoons and chilly winter mornings. Seasonal maintenance gives us a chance to check how your system is running, clean important components, and spot concerns that may need attention.

Most customers receive a spring visit to prepare for cooling season and a fall visit to prepare for heating season. We’ll give your equipment a thorough look and explain what we find in plain language, with the same care we’d want for our own home.

What’s Included in Your Maintenance Visit?

Our comprehensive tune-up includes these twelve checks and services for your heating and air conditioning system:

1

Electrical connections: We check electrical connections for looseness and signs of wear. Secure connections help your system run reliably and reduce the risk of overheating or damage to electrical components.

2

Thermostat calibration: We check that your thermostat reads the temperature accurately so your system responds when it should. An inaccurate reading can leave your home uncomfortable or keep your equipment running longer than necessary.

3

Blower components: We check and adjust the blower components that move air through your home. A properly working blower helps keep your rooms comfortable while reducing unnecessary strain on your system.

4

Temperature difference: We check the temperature difference between the air entering and leaving your system. This helps us assess how well it’s heating or cooling and spot signs of airflow or performance concerns.

5

Safety controls: We check the controls designed to shut down or limit operation when something isn’t right. These safeguards help protect your equipment and your home, so they deserve careful attention.

6

Condensate drain: We clean the drain that carries away moisture collected during cooling. Keeping that line clear helps prevent water backups, leaks, and drain-related system shutdowns.

7

Airflow: We check that air is moving properly through your system. Good airflow helps maintain even comfort and allows your equipment to heat and cool without working harder than it should.

8

Operating pressures: We check system operating pressures to help assess how the refrigeration cycle is performing. Readings outside the expected range can point to concerns that need a closer look.

9

Refrigerant: We check the refrigerant charge and look for signs of possible leaks. The correct charge helps your system transfer heat effectively, while low refrigerant can reduce performance and put added strain on the equipment.

10

Startup: We check that your system starts properly when your thermostat calls for heating or cooling. Trouble getting started can signal wear in electrical or mechanical components, giving us a chance to catch a concern early.

11

Condenser coil: We check and clean the condenser coil so it can transfer heat effectively. Dirt and buildup make that job harder, which can increase energy use and reduce your system’s performance.

12

Air filter: We check, clean, or replace the filter as appropriate for your system. A clean filter helps air move freely and keeps dust from building up on important components.
